Fall Fragrances - Not Always About Pumpkin Spice

Autumn is just around the corner and we’ve been busy at the chandlery setting out our seasonal favorites from our Texas Trail Ride Collection and unveiling September’s candle of the month - Spanish pomegranate.

Our newest addition to the Mission Crafts Chandlery ensemble was inspired by the pomegranate depicted in the stonework on the facade of Mission San Jose. The pomegranate is a traditional symbol of fertility and the many seeds in one fruit are thought to represent the unity of church members . Spanish settlers brought this treasured fruit to the new world and cultivated them on mission grounds. Stop by the shop to sample the warm scents of the candles of the Texas Trail Ride collection such as cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon and the sweet and comforting scents of Spanish pomegranate such as frankincense and cedar.

Mission Crafts Chandlery is located at 2915 Roosevelt Ave. San Antonio, TX 78214 and is open on Fridays 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
